Story: McMyn Masson House

Heritage.jpg

In 1885, John McMyn married Margaet Potter Thompson in San Francisco. A few years later, they moved to British Columbia where they settled at the head of Knight Inlet until 1898. And then, they

moved to Pitt Meadows. This house is one of the original farmhouses in Pitt Meadows. It was operated as a dairy farm. Its longest and last occupants were Rose and Joe Masson. They donated this

house to the community of Pitt Meadows. And it was moved from its original site of Bonson and Park Roads to Hoffman Park. There are still many relatives of both families living in this community.
